The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has said that dissemination of information on latest happenings is very important for medical community in delivering quality medicare to patients.

Addressing a gathering of doctors after inaugurating the first international Laparoscopic Urology Conference here on Saturday, the doctor-turned-politician said conferences like these would go a long way in updating doctors on recent advancements. About 200 urologists from India, Austria and SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) nations took part in the conference organised by the Yashoda Hospital group.

Conference coordinator and leading urologist, Dr C. Mallikarjuna, asked the participants to be familiar with the latest devices and get acquainted with the evolving methods. These techniques would save recovery time for patients, while reducing intake of medicines.
