Andhra Bank bags Asian award

Hyderabad, March 18

Andhra Bank has announced that it has bagged Fintech Asia-2006 for its initiatives under `Any Branch Banking' services across the country.

In a press release here on Saturday, the bank said it is the only bank in India to receive one of the six awards announced by Financial Insight, part of IDG, the US-based leading IT, media, research and exposition company. The award would be presented later this month at Bangkok, Thailand. Financial Insight, headquartered in Massachusetts, provides independent research, custom consulting, and detailed multi-client studies on the technology issues and challenges facing the financial services industry, the release said.
