Abu Dhabi , March 21 Globalpharma has announced the finalisation and signing of an out-licensing and supply contract with Ethypharm, a leading French multinational drug delivery company, operating in India through its wholly owned subsidiary Ethypharm LL India, for the marketing and distribution of Cetirizine antihistamine tablets. Under the terms of the agreement, Ethypharm will be responsible for the development of the tablets. This new formulation combines several benefits in terms of acceptability, accuracy of dosing and safety, according to a statement from Globalpharma published by the official Emirates News Agency, WAM. With this new technology, drugs are made easier to swallow and more pleasant to taste. As such, they are well suited to meeting the growing demand from patients and health authorities for the provision of more convenient medicines. Globalpharma is responsible for the marketing and distribution of Cetirizine in the Gulf Cooperation Council markets, under its brand name. Globalpharma Co. LLC is a leading joint venture company in the UAE with majority shareholding from Dubai Investment PJC. "Globalpharma is discussing more deals with Ethypharm to cement its position as the premier pharmaceutical company servicing the GCC area," according to Mr Maged Amer, General Manger of Globalpharma.
