ATI chipsets for AMD processors

ATI Technologies, a $2.2-billion design and manufacturer of innovative 3D graphics and digital media silicon solutions, has announced that its new chipset will power the new generation of AMD processor-based PC users.The introduction of the CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset and the ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 series of chipsets, prepares users for Windows Vista with ATI's fastest integrated graphics ever. The feature-rich platforms employ ATI's new Southbridge technology that provides multiple connectivity options including 10 USB 2.0 ports."AMD dual-core processors combined with ATI's graphics and chipset technologies result in highly effective productivity thanks to seamless multitasking," said Mr Bob Brewer, Corporate Vice-President, Desktop Division, AMD.
