Ramco Systems plans to transfer unit

Ramco Systems Ltd plans to transfer its Secured Converged Networking division, the largest division for the company, to a subsidiary called Ramco Infotech Solutions Ltd. The company's board has approved this proposal and it will now go to its shareholders for approval.The company officials could not be reached for a comment. Out of the Rs 117 crore revenue reported by Ramco in India for fiscal ended March 31, 2006, the division's contribution was Rs 54.26 crore. Ramco offers a range of converged solutions for Enterprise Local Area Network, Wide Area Network and IT security
