V-Tel Card launched in Hyderabad

Dhanus Technologies, the Chennai-based telecom company has launched their V-Tel{trade} Global Calling Card in Hyderabad. The Union Minister, Mr T. Subbirami Reddy handed over the first V-Tel{trade} Global Calling Card to Dr Rama Naidu, leading film producer and celebrity thereby signalling its launch in the city at a function on Saturday. Connections, a Hyderabad-based Company specialising in Telecom Channel sales has been appointed as the Channel partner and will oversee all marketing functions for the card in the city. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ravikumar, Managing Partner, Connexions said, "Our core strength is in telecom and our experience will help us in strategising, creating and building a market for the Card in Hyderabad." Having launched the V-Tel{trade} Global Calling Card targeted at Indians travelling abroad, at the end of the year 2004, it has now crossed the five lakh mark in Sales. The growth of IT and ITeS, and an increased International tourist outflow promises to increase its usage and market. V-Tel{trade} allows the `global Indian' to literally call any country from anywhere in the world. The simplicity of the V-Tel{trade} Global Calling Card makes it extra convenient to use.
