As a part of the Australia International Cultural Council events in India, the Kiripuranji (a Tiwi word meaning clever with our hands) exhibition is being organised in Hyderabad during July 22-August 5. The exhibition will showcase a collection of contemporary, indigenous Australian paintings reflecting the richness of Tiwi culture. It includes work on paper, paintings, carved and painted ceremonial poles and textiles. The exhibition reflects the contributions of indigenous culture and people to modern Australia.
