Hyderabad , Aug. 10

Global Consumer Services Pvt Ltd, promoted by Global Hospitals, will set up 200 wellness product stores across all major southern states in the next three years with a total investment of Rs 90 crore.

Besides being pharmacies, the `Goodlife' brand outlets are virtually supermarkets for all wellness products such as medicines, babycare products, breakfast cereals and footwear for diabetics.

NEW CONCEPT

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Mr Jagadish Ramadugu, Managing Director of Global Consumer Services, said the concept was new to the Indian market, though there were a few players operating in this segment.

Besides offering safe and quality drugs, the stores would offer several value-added services that included advice to senior citizens and loyal customers. It would also offer a home-delivery service.

In the first phase, the company would set up 15 outlets, including in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnamand Bangalore, at a cost of Rs 10 crore in the next eight months. In the second phase that would be completed in 2009, it would have presence in all the southern states, Mr Ramadugu said.

In the subsequent phase, it would have such stores in all the metros.
