Centre clears 28 tourism projects

Hyderabad, Aug. 23

The Union Ministry of Tourism has sanctioned 28 projects for Andhra Pradesh during the 10th Plan period. The total funds provided during the period for the projects were approximately Rs 64 crore. During 2005-06, the State got seven projects cleared with funds to the tune of Rs 26.16 crore, according to an official release. The Ministry is extending funds for the development of tourist circuits, fairs and festivals, product infrastructure and destination development and large revenue generating projects.
