Tegic's XT9 mobile interface in India

Tegic Communications, a unit of AOL's wireless division, has announced the availability of XT9 mobile interface in India, which has multi-model user interface suitable for smart phones and advanced mobile devices. This feature is designed to enable users to easily toggle between messaging modes as well as numbers, letters, symbols and languages making it faster and easier to enter text.

According to a statement from AOL, the XT9 Mobile interface seamlessly integrates T9 software for the phone keypad as well as hard and soft Qwerty keyboard, with handwriting recognition capabilities using a stylus. The Senior Vice president, Emerging Markets, Tegic, Mr Ray Tsuchiyama, in a statement said "with mobile and SMS usage growing at such rapid pace in India, we feel this is the perfect time to add XT9 to our list of available products in such an important market."
