Madurai Corpn selects land for IT Park

Madurai, Sept. 10

The Madurai Corporation has identified 29.93 acres of land for establishing a tidel park in the city. Expressing its intent for a joint venture with established software companies for the purpose at a special Council meeting held here recently, the Corporation is willing to offer the land as its share and help in building the infrastructure based on an agreed mode of revenue sharing, according to Corporation Superintending Engineer, Mr K. Sakthivel.

The site, housing a defunct drinking water treatment plant, near Kochadai in the outskirts of the city, is very close to the 250-acre land, which Madurai Kamaraj University has offered for setting up a IT Park.
