New Delhi , Sept. 22

Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) is in talks with MCX, NCDEX and NMCE to explore possibilities to jointly trade commodities in each other's market, according to Mr John P. Davidson, Managing Director, CME.

While speaking at a meeting organised by industry chamber Assocham , Mr Davidson announced that his exchange was looking for tie-ups for variety of relationships that include not only technical tie-ups but also strategic partnership.

He said that the CME delegation currently visiting India has held intensive discussions with the chief executive officers of these three leading commodities exchanges for mutual co-operation to trade commodities.

However, the announcement for the trade prospects would be made at appropriate time after the policy makers of the Indian Government take certain corrective decisions to ensure larger participation of overseas commodity exchanges like CME, he added.
