SanDisk to up R&D headcount

New Delhi , Oct. 4

US based data storage cards manufacturer SanDisk plans to strengthen its flash memory design centre in Bangalore by increasing its headcount.

"We plan to have 60 engineers by the end of the next year from 22 engineers currently. The design centre is part of our global R&D efforts," said Mr Sanjay Mehrotra, President and Chief Operating Officer, SanDisk. The company had set up the centre in February this year.

The company also announced on Wednesday its tie-up with IT equipment distributors - Ingram Micro and Rashi Peripherals to distribute its products.The company also launched its entire range of products including USB flash drives, memory cards, mobile phone cards and digital imaging cards.
