Blue Star Q2 net rises 58.75 pc

Central air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration major Blue Star has reported a 32.31 per cent rise in total income at Rs 376.72 crore (Rs 284.72 crore) for the quarter ended September 30. Net profit grew 58.75 per cent to Rs 18.40 crore (Rs 11.59 crore) while the earnings per share inched up to Rs 2.05 from Rs 1.29.

For the half year ending September 30, total income stood at Rs 689.53 crore (Rs 514.84 crore) and net profit grew 54.48 per cent to Rs 25.69 crore (Rs 16.63 crore). During the quarter, the company bagged orders from the Nagpur International Airport; Loreal Pune; Delhi Institute of Liver & Billary Sciences, New Delhi; GlaxoSmithKline Beecham, Nasik; City Mall, Raipur; Alps Hospital, Gurgaon and Zydus Cadila, Sikkim. Shares of the company rose 1.14 per cent to close at Rs 151 on BSE.
