Mr Yashwant S. Bhave assumed charge as Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. An officer of Maharashtra cadre, Mr Bhave was special Secretary, Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, prior to his present posting, said a release. He succeeded Mr L. Mansingh, who retired from service on Tuesday.
