The Tata-AIG Lifetime Achievement Award has been conferred on Mr P. R. S. Oberoi, Chairman, The Oberoi Group, at the recent Galileo Express TravelWorld Awards 2006. The fourth edition of the award was announced recently.

The award, according to an official note from The Oberoi Group, has been given in recognition of Mr Oberoi's long involvement and contribution to the hospitality sector, "and his pioneering leadership in making The Oberoi Group a global brand, by taking the concept of luxury and excellence in service to a new paradigm".

The Trident Hilton has also received the award for the `Best First Class Hotel Brand', for the second year in succession.
