Project Vikas, a competitive capacity building programme for SMEs through application of IT, will be formally launched for the Tirupur knitwear cluster on December 13, which is also SME Day.

The programme has been jointly initiated for 25 manufacturing clusters, including Tirupur, by the National Manufacturing Competitive Council and Microsoft.

The main aim of the project is to improve HR skills, create internal efficiency, knowledge networking, market access enhancement and fostering growth through the use of IT.
