ITES specialised certification

New Delhi , Jan. 2

Singapore-based consultancy firm for contact centres, Omni Touch, plans to collaborate with management institutes in India for its certification programmes targeted at the ITES sector. Through this, it hopes to amplify the skills of senior executives so that they can be inducted into the sector easily.

Currently, the company offers certification for contact centres as per the ICCM (International Contact Centre Management) and Call Centre Advisory Council (CCAC) standards. Having opened its office in Delhi in June this year, Omni Touch would now like to expand its presence by offering the CCAC curriculum for executive management programmes at these institutes.

"Through the programme we would like to equip senior level corporates getting enrolled for management programmes in specialised ITES skills. Companies with these professionals would be in a better position to retain customers in call centres and expand their business," said Mr Mahesh Punia, Director, South Asia, Omni Touch.

The company also certifies employees at different levels in the BPO space through its programmes and is slated to soon launch its agent level certification programme for frontline staff.

Currently, about 10 per cent of the company's revenues come from India, which is likely to increase to about 40 per cent next year, said Mr Punia.

It will also be establishing an office in Mumbai and another in Bangalore or Chennai by next year.
