E-Governance Ram Info eyes more US business V. Rishi Kumar
Company secures letter of intent from US partner for an e-commerce project.
The Executive Director of the Hyderabad-based company, Mr R. Jagadeeshwara Rao, said that the deal involved setting up of a dedicated team to serve Sunrise Systems and to manage the order and would potentially cover two years and the possibility of expanding and extending the business arrangement. Speaking to Business Line, Mr Rao said, "as a part of this deal, we have secured a letter of intent for an e-commerce project." Ram Info, which is engaged with several e-governance projects such as e-Seva in Hyderabad managing citizen services, Bangalore One in Karnataka, and e-Suvidha for Lucknow, is in pursuit of similar e-governance projects in other States. One important project relates to Mumbai citizen services. Mr Rao said the company has also bagged a project from the Andhra Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation to manage their e-commerce and backend applications. Referring to its banking software, he said that the company software is deployed in two cooperative banks managed by the Indian Bank. These include Sapthagiri Grameena Bank and Pallavan Grameena bank. "We have also been shortlisted for a bank in Sri Lanka, which focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises."
