Targets existing clients; slated for launch in 2 months

While the `timeshare' owners of the flying birds have the option of using it for their personal travel, they could also avail of the revenue-share opportunity with the company.

Bangalore March 8 A city-based real estate group sees synergy in its proposal to launch a chartered airline service that could build its capacity from the company's elite clientele.

The service, slated for launch in two months, could tap the potential within the group's hotel project as well.

Confident Group, with a strong presence in the luxury apartment and villa segment of the real estate market, would be acquiring six- to eight-seater aircraft with a Rs 40-crore investment and offer it on a fractional ownership to both individuals and small corporates.

While the `timeshare' owners of the flying birds have the option of using it for their personal travel, they could also avail of the revenue-share opportunity with the company.

With the aspiration to fly and even own an aircraft growing among the super rich, Confident saw an opportunity to exploit its vast client-base to tap the opportunity, said Mr Roy.

18 projects

Confident is currently implementing 18 projects and hopes to triple its turnover to Rs 1,000 crore in the next two years.

Projects in housing, hospitality and commercial infrastructure in Bangalore, Kochi and Hosur have been designed by Jurong and SAA of Singapore and MM Associates of Dubai.

Nine hotels with 1,500 rooms, an international township on Sarjapur Road and similar class of apartments and villas and a 100-acre township with a five-star Resort and 18-hole Golf Course with exclusive villas on the Bangalore-Kolar main road are some of the major projects being implemented by Confident.

For its infrastructure project, Confident was in talks with a leading business house for joint investment. Mr Roy, however, declined to name the company.
