Chennai March 16 In a bid to offer end-to-end integrated real estate solutions, Mumbai-based Sankalpan Group plans to set up a joint venture company to offer facility management services, primarily catering to the information technology sector, according to Mr Ninad Randive, Chairman of the group.

The company will provide lease management services, transportation solutions and facility maintenance services, he said at a press conference. The facility management business in India is estimated at Rs 10,000 crore, he added.

As of now, the Group has three companies offering design consultancy, infrastructure turnkey solutions and real estate development for commercial space. The Group plans to focus more on real estate development in future.

"We will look at developing real estate for IT-ITES companies, especially in Chennai," said Mr Randive. As of now the Group has developed over 10 lakh sq ft in and around Chennai including offices of Scope International, Cognizant Technology Solutions and i-Nautics. It recently bagged a $2-million deal to build 60,000 sq ft for IT-BPO company Syntel in the DLF IT Park in the city.
