New head for Nokia Siemens India

New Delhi April 10 Nokia Siemens Network has appointed Mr Ashish Chowdhary as head of its operations in India and Nepal sub-region.

This is the first India-specific appointment after Nokia and Siemens merged their network business globally. The rest of the team is expected to be in place by May.

Mr Chowdhary was previously Country Head, India, Nokia Networks. He has been responsible for Nokia Networks business and operational matters in India. Nokia Networks has emerged the No.1 supplier for wireless networks in India, said a press release.

Prior to joining Nokia, Mr Chowdhary was Senior Director & Vice President for Enterprise Business with Hughes Network Systems, USA, and Hughes Escorts Communications Ltd, India.
