Zensar plans centres in Brazil, Poland

Hyderabad May 3 IT services provider Zensar Technologies has announced its plans to set up centres in Sao Paolo, Brazil and in Poland to serve as near shore centres for Latin America and Europe.

Mr Ganesh Natarajan, Managing Director, said that this move to set up more overseas centres was part of the three-shore model that the company has evolved over years covering onsite, offshore and near shore.

Speaking to Business Line here today, Mr Natarajan said the outsourcing business continues to evolve and a large group of enterprises particularly small and medium which who have never outsourced.

This is a big market that the company was keen on pursuing. Significantly, this pursuit would cover the domestic market.

"We expect to achieve about 10 per cent of the company revenues from the domestic market within two-three years," he said.

Mr Natarajan and his team were in Hyderabad to announce the company move to target enterprises with its their enterprise solutions both Oracle and SAP.

The company launched a new suite of SAP services targeting select verticals of pharma, textiles and engineering.

Zensar entered Hyderabad a few years ago following its their acquisition of OBT, an enterprise solutions provider.

Now, the company's focus is on growing this centre to service the enterprise segment and offer a range of product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions in a more cost-effective manner.

Expansion plans

Zensar, which now has about 3,700 people, expects to induct about 850 more during the year.

Of them, about 350 people would be inducted in Hyderabad.

The company is also in negotiations with the Andhra Pradesh Government for setting up a campus similar to its Pune facility. This would be a special economic zone.

During the year, the company expects a revenue growth of about 55 per cent and has earmarked Rs 50 crore towards capital expenditure.
