Bartronics raises $25 m through FCCB issue

Hyderabad June 8 Bartronics India Ltd has announced that it has raised $25 million through zero coupon foreign currency convertible bonds (FCCBs) that bear yield of 7.25 per cent and convertible into equity at Rs 140 per share.

The London-based Silverdale Services Ltd served as the sole lead manager for the offering. The funds raised would help set up additional capacity for manufacture of smart cards and RFID chips.

Bartronics is an integrated player in the automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) industry in the country and offers a wide gamut of products related to barcode solutions, electronic access systems, smart cards, biometrics and radio frequency identification (RFID) and SIM cards.

The Managing Director and CEO of Bartronics India, Mr Sudhir Rao, said it has sales arrangements for almost the entire capacity for the next two years.

Bartronics has a customer base of over 1,600 clients and across a range of sectors including logistics, retail and security.
