Reach Tech clinches deals with Fashion Knits, Anokhi

Ties-up with textile research institute

Coimbatore, June 9

Reach Technologies, an IT solutions provider for the global soft goods industry, has tied-up with a renowned management institute to offer short- and long-term programmes.

The company believes that the quality of management would make a strategic difference to any business. "We are striving to bring out better managers in this space," its Market Development Manager, Mr Bhadrish S. Raju, told Business Line.

The company has also tied up with Harvard Centre for Textile and Apparel Research to bring out cutting edge technical and management tools to India. "We are currently working with them to establish the benefits of Flexible Supply Options (FSO) in the Indian context and also explore pilot implementation at select client locations," he said.

Financial option

FSO, he sad was a financial option in the soft goods business. It assists manufacturers respond better to increasing flexible demand from retailers. "The model's usage is in understanding the flexibility in demand pricing, the options accurately and helping manufacturers explore innovative methods in meeting fluctuating demand."

The company has, in the process, clinched deals with the Tirupur-based Fashion Knits and Jaipur-headquartered Anokhi for offering mission-critical enterprise wide applications.

ERP solution

Reach has implemented its ERP solution at these places and the clients, according to Reach sources, had started deriving benefits from the implementation of this tool, such as a 14 per cent reduction in supply chain time, inventory saving of up to 22 per cent, time reduction of up to 38 per cent in execution of manufacturing activities and consequently, increased profitability through better utilisation of resources.
