Rittal to invest €20 m in India

Rittal India has announced an investment to the tune of €20 million in India. The company also plans to start a second manufacturing site. Rittal India is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Germany based Rittal GmbH & Co. KG, an enclosure manufacturer.

The €2 billion company on Thursday inaugurated a new office section of 6,800 square feet at its existing manufacturing plant at Dodddaballapur near Bangalore. It has a seating capacity for 75 people.

Sales & exports

The company has reported sales worth €50 million in India over the last ten years. Rittal employs over 600 in India. The plant in India also exports to Rittal subsidiaries in Asia and West Asia.

It has three warehouses located at Chennai, Faridabad and Pune, 13 marketing offices, and ten distributors located across all the major cities. It offers electrical, electronic, process control, networking and telecommunication applications.

Products include large enclosures for electrical and automation, enclosure climate control, power distribution components, networking and server enclosures, outdoor enclosures for telecom, microprocessor packaging systems, power supplies, data safes, kiosks, work stations for server rooms, TV and Radio broadcasting studios, and IT security rooms.
