NDTV posts Rs 2.15-cr loss in Q1

New Delhi, July 17

NDTV has reported a loss of Rs 2.15 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, as against a loss of Rs 10.5 crore reported during the corresponding quarter the previous year. The company reported a growth of 12 per cent in net sales at Rs 60.96 crore for the quarter as against Rs 54.40 crore.On a consolidated basis, the company reported a loss of Rs 14.92 crore for the quarter (Rs 8.24 crore). The company reported a consolidated income from operations of Rs 70.15 crore against Rs 63.67 crore. The broadcaster said it had received $120 million in funding for NDTV Networks’ present business plans. The company expects to launch its Lifestyle channel in the next few weeks.
