UTV entering retail space

Our Bureau

Mumbai, July 18 Mumbai-based UTV Software Communications is stretching its new channel brand — Bindass — to retail cafes.

Branded as Bindaas Café, these outlets with a 1,500-2,000 sq ft area would provide the touch-and-feel element for the channel targeting youth in the 15-35 age group.

UTV is currently seeking a partner in the retail business and this would be treated as business, independent of its 50:50 broadcasting joint venture signed with Malaysia-based media company, Astro Measat.
