NDTV Q3 net profit growth flat

New Delhi, Jan. 18

Media company NDTV, which is all set to launch its new general entertainment channel next week, reported a flat growth in net profit at Rs 7.07 crore, for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as against Rs 7.06 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company explained in a statement that profit after tax on a like-to-like comparison with same quarter last year, (that is, excluding the costs of Rs 3.51 crore associated with MetroNation, NDTVR 17;s new city channel for the National Capital Region, “which is in its early phase”) was at Rs 10.57 crore. This, said the company, is a growth of 50 per cent.
