Jagran-18 appoints new CEO

New Delhi, Feb. 6

Mr Bharat Kapadia has been appointed as the new CEO and Managing Editor of Jagran-18 Publications, the recently announced joint venture between TV18 and Jagran Prakashan. The joint venture hopes to launch a Hindi business daily during this year following which it has plans for other language dailies focused on financial and economic news.

"The language media space has revealed strong potential for specialised business news and information, which this venture will fulfil," said Mr Mahendra Mohan, Chairman and Managing Director, Jagran Prakashan Ltd, in a release. Mr Kapadia was previously Executive Director at the Bhaskar Group, and more recently spearheaded the `Vote for Taj' campaign. - Our Bureau
