Ogilvy to design Jaipur’s IPL team brand

New Delhi, Feb. 15 Jaipur’s Indian Premier League cricket team owned by Emerging Media will get its makeover designed by Ogilvy Group. Emerging Media, which won the right to the city team franchise for $67 million (Rs 265.5 crore), has appointed the agency to provide communication strategy and the creative to build the brand positioning for the team.

Marketing promotions and on-ground activities, a new logo, jersey, and even anthem have been planned. The company, behind the cricket reality show Cricket Star Twenty/20, plans to simultaneously launch season two of their show.

“We have created an exclusive team – Ogilvy Team Jaipur to build the brand,” said Mr Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman, Ogilvy Group, South Asia, in a release.
