Messaging security tool from Websense

Coimbatore, March 6

In a bid to promote e-mail hygiene and compliance, Websense has introduced a new messaging security solution.

The new messaging security solution, which includes a new hybrid hosted and on-premise e-mail security, is expected to give businesses broader protection from e-mail security threats and expanded regulatory and policy compliance. The company’s e-mail security software provides inspection of e-mail messages and attachments, besides ensuring that the outbound mails do not contain non-compliant content.

The Hosted E-mail Security blocks spam and viruses at the gateway. This prevents threats from reaching the network, helps save storage space and consumes less bandwidth, a release from the company said.

The new version of Websense E-mail Security features a subset of compliance capabilities from the company’s data loss prevention technology.

The new compliance dictionaries and rule policies offer e-mail protection for both – the healthcare and financial industries and includes new policies addressing State data privacy laws and Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
