Microsoft executive gets award

Hyderabad, March 11

Dr S. Somasegar, Senior Vice-President, Developer Division, Micrososft Corporation, and a man who oversees the operations of the Microsoft India Development Centre (MSIDC), Hyderabad, has received the 2008 Asian American Engineer of the Year Award (AAEOY) from the Chinese Institute of Engineers, Texas recently. According to a statement, this award recognises outstanding Asian American contributions in science and engineering for their impact on the community. Dr Somasegar joined Microsoft in 1989 as a software design engineer to become the Senior Vice-President of the developer division in early 2008.
