Online video ad firm Jivox begins India operations

Our Bureau

Bangalore, March 14 California-based Jivox, an online video advertising company, has begun its Indian operations – Jivox Software India Pvt Ltd – through a sales and development office in Bangalore. The centre will be headed by Mr Naren Nachiappan, Managing Director, India. Mr Nachiappan was earlier Vice-President and General Manager at Wind River, a Nasdaq-listed company.

Jivox aims to unleash the power of online video advertising to the Indian market through a do-it-yourself service.

Said Mr Naren Nachiappan, “Jivox’s service gives advertisers access to online video advertising by making it easy to create, target and deliver online video ads. The Jivox platform combines a video ad creation tool, proprietary targeting technology, sophisticated reporting capabilities and a growing network of publishers to offer advertisers a complete, do-it-yourself service for online video advertising.”

The Jivox service provides tools that allow advertisers to create and place ads on their own. Tools include an interactive and easy-to-use ad creation tool that lets advertisers use templates provided or use own content to develop video ad content.

Advertisers can then use Jivox’s “micro-targeting algorithms” and network of online video publishers to deliver their advertising to audiences based on geographic, demographic or contextual parameters.
