Iqua launches Bluetooth accessories

Our Bureau

Chennai, March 27 Iqua Ltd, Finnish company which produces mobile phone accessories (such as a headset) with Bluetooth technology, formally launched its products in the country on Thursday.

These products were soft-launched in January and has sold about 2,000 units in Chennai and Bangalore, where its India representative, Pathfinder Software, has appointed dealers. Products range between Rs 1,200 and Rs 7,000 depending upon the level of functions.

One of them is a headset whose solar-powered batteries charge themselves when exposed to light. This costs Rs 6,000. Another is a car clip, which looks like a file-punch, that can be kept on the dashboard of a car. The driver can talk over his mobile phone, hands-free. Mr M. Sadique Ahmed, Vice-President – Sales, Pathfinder Software, said at a press conference here on Thursday that the company would appoint 48 dealers in South India over the next three months to sell Iqua products.
