Branding Sony investing Rs 200 cr in marketing New Delhi, May 8 Sony India is aiming to redefine the digital imaging market by introducing a range of high definition technology products for the domestic market. The company has earmarked Rs 200 crore towards its branding and marketing exercise. “We will be investing close to Rs 200 crore for marketing activities for the consumer electronics division. Of this, Rs 60 crore has been earmarked for digital imaging products alone,” Sony India Managing Director, Mr Masaru Tamagawa, told newspersons here. The company, which unveiled new models in its digital imaging category, said it is also in talks with broadcasters to launch high definition contents. It has expanded its line of cyber-shot digital still cameras with the introduction of five new models in the W, T and H series. The cameras are priced between Rs 15,990 and Rs 19,990 and camcorders between Rs 49,990 and Rs 59,990, while printers are available between Rs 5,990 and Rs 9,990. — Our Bureau More Stories on : Branding | Consumer Electronics
