Strategy Zee’s cable arm to launch HITS Hyderabad, June 5 Wire and Wireless (India) Ltd, the cable arm of Zee Network Enterprise, would soon launch Headend in the Sky (HITS), a satellite-based delivery platform for its customers and cable operators, in Hyderabad. “HITS is a satellite-based platform that will deliver multi-channel television signals to customers and cable operators. The cable operators need not set up many dishes to receive signals from different television channels,” a Zee spokesperson told Business Line. “This will help the cable operators save a lot of space and effort in airing the channels,” he said. For the entertainment company, it would help gauge the spread of cable operators and the kind of channels they deliver. HITS would provide a complete bouquet of digital video and audio programmes, addressing a cross-section of viewers. Wire and Wireless has presence in 43 cities in the country with 400 centres. It has a network of 4,000 local cable operators. — Our Bureau More Stories on : Strategy | Radio/TV | Technology
