Naukri eyes educational fairs

Hyderabad, Oct.13

Naukri.com, a leading job portal, is planning to organise exclusive expos across the country for its educational initiative Shiksha. “We have launched this portal a few months ago. The response has been quite good. We will organise expos providing a platform to the students and service providers,” Mr Lalit Jetley, Associate Vice-President and Business Head (Events), told Business Line. Mr Jetley was here in connection with the two-day job fai r that concluded here on Sunday. “We are going to hold a meeting in November to finalise a schedule for offline events such as expos across the country. This year, we held expos in Bangalore and Chennai. After Hyderabad, we will go to Ahmedabad,” he said. Promoted by Info Edge (India) Limited, the group also runs online and offline services in the areas of matrimonial (jeevansathi.com) and real-estate (99acres.com). Keeping in mind the slowdown, the company had restricted the campaign for the Hyderabad job fair to people with experiences in the range of six months to five years.—
