Chennai, Dec. 17 As many as 268 rooms, including nine suites and 26 Taj Club rooms, and a number of restaurants will be ready to receive guests when the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower in Mumbai reopens to the public on December 21 evening.

The Taj, owned by the Tata group Indian Hotels Company Ltd, was one of the sites of terrorist attacks last month.

A press release said that exclusive services to commemorate the special occasion of the hotel’s reopening had been introduced with the opening of the Tower wing.

The hotel’s fleet would be expanded by the addition of two Jaguars, for guest transfers.

(Jaguar, the British luxury car brand is now owned by Tata Motors, another Tata group company.)

The release said that the hotel’s restaurants and eateries, including The Zodiac Grill, Souk, Masala Kraft, Aquarius, Shamiana, Starboard and La patisserie would open on the dot at 7.30 p.m. on December 21. The rooftop Rendezvous banquet hall and the Chambers would also open on that day.
