SEZ projects

The economic meltdown is the major threat today for all sectors. Though the government has announced a bailout package, it can at best be a temporary measure. The economy will ultimately have to stand on its own legs.

This can happen only through long-term efforts, including developing more industrial units, small and big.

Fortunately, India, in general, and Maharashtra, in particular, are suitable locations for SEZ projects. Taking advantage of the current situation, the Maharashtra Government must go all out to encourage the SEZ projects.

It is, no doubt, to be expected that certain reactionary forces will oppose any such industrial activity. However, such elements must be dealt with ruthlessly, considering the larger interests of the State and its youth.
