RCom ties up with Moko.mobi for value-added services

R. Ravikumar

Chennai, Nov. 2 Global mobile chat and share services provider Moko.mobi is planning to enter the Indian market through an alliance with Reliance Communications.

This will be Moko.mobi’s first major tie-up with an Indian telecom operator. It will customise its content and services to suit the Indian market requirements. Reliance will feature Moko.mobi in its VAS deck and fully integrate the service into its billing and MMS systems.

As part of its tie-up, MOKO.mobi will offer RCom subscribers services such as instant chat (one-to-many or one-to-one with real-time integration across both mobile and computers); profile management tools, including user-name, description, image and video galleries, messaging inbox, friends list, tags, editing tools, and privacy settings; and will enable user to upload content via MMS or the Web. It will also offer editorial content to cultivate a positive community. Moko.mobi would run competitions and spark conversation.

Sources close to the development say that Moko.mobi’s services to RCom customers will be on a revenue-sharing basis.
