Kappalur estate units' plea to Govt

MADURAI, Sept. 18

THE Kappalur Industrialists Association has urged that the Industrial Township Act should be extended to include the Kappalur Industrial Estate and an order passed accordingly.

Among the resolutions passed at its general body meeting held here recently, the association has demanded that power should be supplied continuously without disruption, transit facilities enhanced to enable the workers to commute in the late hours after shifts, provision of drinking water facilities and reduction in bank interest rates.

Office-bearers: The following have been elected as office-bearers of the association: Mr P.N. Subbaraja (President), Mr.P.Seetharaman (Vice-President), Mr V.S.Manimaran (Secretary), Mr C. Muthuraman (Joint-Secretary) and Mr N. Subburaj (Treasurer).
