N. Srinivasan to succeed Tarun Das in CII

Our Bureau

New Delhi, March 4

TOP moves are in the offing at the Confederation of Indian Industry.

Come June 1, Mr N. Srinivasan, who has been with CII since 1974, would take charge as Director-General. He would replace Mr Tarun Das, who has been associated with the organisation for 40 years.

However, Mr Das will continue his four-decade-long association with the CII for at least another three years as "Chief Mentor'' of the apex industry association. Besides, he will co-ordinate the newly established Global Advisory Council that includes prominent Indian leaders and leaders from overseas organisations with whom CII has built strong connections.
