The pyramid of growth

I liked the article, `The Growth Pyramid' (September 9, 2002). It was very good. The topic, which explained about the growth choices and fear choices, was thought provoking and informative. The author had made the point clearer by citing the example of Jack Welch, who is considered as one of the greatest leader-achievers. It is true that most of the successful persons have treaded the riskier road to success.

I read your article, `The Growth Pyramid'. I enjoyed reading it especially because the article addressed many questions that have been on my mind for the past few days. I found it very useful.

Hoping for a better future?

I read the article, `Hoping against hope?' (September 9, 2002), on the pathetic conditions of the people of the Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh due to the prevalent drought conditions. It was indeed disheartening to read about the plight of the poor farmers and their bleak future. The State Government should take all possible efforts to provide relief to these people against the vagaries of nature.

It's all about confidence

I read the article which dealt with confidence, `Faking helps too... (August 26, 2002). I was very impressed with the write-up and I sincerely feel that it I extremely relevant in today's highly competitive job scenario.

This is with reference to the article, `Faking helps too... '. I liked the article and I agree with you totally. I have faced this situation in my life and I had taken up a task that my manager assigned to me with confidence. At that moment, I was determined to grab the opportunity and accomplish the assigned task and hence took the risk. And, my manager gave me that chance to prove. I think it is self-confidence or trust in self — I believe that ultimately it is self-confidence that helps one in taking risks and perform well.
