Sharp recovery in metal prices

MUMBAI: Metal prices recovered sharply on the non-ferrous metal market here today due to fresh stockists buying in view of higher advices from London Metal Exchange (LME).

While, lead eased on lack of industrial demand. Nickel shot up by Rs 25 per kilo to Rs 765, copper utensils scrap by Rs 22 per kilo to Rs 231, tin by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 870, copper sheets cutting by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 248 and copper armiture by Rs 8 per kilo to Rs 250.

Copper scrap heavy also moved up by Rs 6 per kilo to Rs 253, brass utensils scrap by Rs 6 per kilo Rs 176, copper wire bar by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 284, copper cable scrap by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 256, zinc by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 72 and brass sheets cutting by a rupee per kilo to Rs 185. However, lead moved down by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 90 from Rs 92 previously. – PTI
