Info-Tech Spanish IT co opens its office in Kochi KOCHI: SitMobile, a Spanish IT company on Monday opened their new development, production centre and international marketing hub at Infopark at Kakkanad near here on Monday. Speaking after inaugurating the new office, Mr Cesar Alba, Consul General of Spain in India, said Kerala has always had a forward looking policy with regard to education and is one of the leading states in the education sector in India. He said Spain was an underdeveloped country about 50 years back. In the last 30 years they had come to the forefront and today are among the 12 richest countries in the world. Mr Alba said his country had started investing in Central America and South A merica in the last 20 years, with the result that Spain today is the biggest investor in the world after USA. Spain had invested about $120 billion in the last ten years in South America, he said Mr Enric Sole, CEO, SITMobile, who presided, said by opening the new office in India, SitMobile plans to have a stronger presence in Asian and Middle East telecom marke ts. Kochi was chosen due to availability of highly skilled technical resources, combined with facilities provided by Infopark that hosts the best Indian companies in IT industry, he said. - PTI
