Hyundai Motor offers Rs 34,000 discount on 'Santro'

NEW DELHI: Ten years after introducing its flagship model 'Santro' in the country, Hyundai Motor India is offering the car at the same price (Rs 2.99 lakh) at which it was launched as the company seeks to beat year-end sales blues. The company has annou nced a scheme, under which the 'Santro', currently sold at Rs 3.33 lakh, would see a price cut of Rs 34,000 and the offer would last through December.

As part of the scheme, 'Santro', launched in 1998, would be offered with free insurance, exchange bonuses and free car accessories and the same would also be available for other models, like i10, Getz, Accent and Verna, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) sai d in a statement.

Under the scheme, all Santro GL (Solid) purchases would get a special price of Rs 2.99 lakh, the statement said, adding, “Santro non AC, Santro GLS will be eligible to get free insurance as well as car accessories worth Rs 7,000 and Rs 15,000 respectivel y. Free insurance as well as car accessories offer worth Rs 5,000 would also be available for the company's latest hatchback 'i10'. Besides, consumers would be offered exchange benefits up to Rs 20,000 on all Hyundai cars.

“Also, a loyalty scheme has been announced wherein existing Hyundai customers can avail the loyalty discounts up to Rs 20,000 on purchase of new Hyundai Getz (petrol), Accent (GLE) and Verna (Petrol and Diesel),'' the company said.

“The schemes announced will provide our customers with an attractive value for money proposition and with the prevailing economic conditions, this should provide an impetus for our sales and offset a part of the ownership cost which has gone up considera bly in the past few months,'' HMIL Senior Vice President (Marketing & Sales) Arvind Saxena said. - PTI
