Fiesta price unveiled

FORD has priced the Fiesta competitively with a view to attract buyers. Four versions, three petrol and one diesel, have been rolled out. According to Ford, the Fiesta incorporates new exterior styling and contemporary interiors. The entry level 1.4 Duratec Fiesta has been tagged at Rs 5.59 lakh. The 1.6-litre engine powers the luxury and super luxury models, which are priced at Rs 6.29 lakh and Rs 6.89 respectively. The 1.4-litre diesel variant has been launched as a luxury model at Rs 6.99 lakh.

Ford has appointed Abhishek Bachchan as brand ambassador for the Fiesta. He joins other Bollywood stars Amir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan who are associated with Toyota's Innova and Hyundai's Santro Xing respectively; Abhishek, with his father Amitabh Bachchan, had earlier endorsed Maruti's Versa.

Ford has extended the Total Maintenance Plan (TMP) to the Fiesta too. The plan covers wear and tear in addition to electrical and mechanical items. Under the scheme, prices start as low as 40 paise a km. Extended Warranty Plan for a 1-2 year period is also being offered on the Fiesta .
