New Products & Services Reckitt test-marketing Dettol skincare soap Our Bureau
New Delhi , Jan. 20 RECKITT Benckiser has extended the portfolio of its Rs 300-crore Dettol soap brand to a new skincare variant. Said Ms Ann Engerant, Marketing Director, Reckitt Benckiser, "The new product - Dettol Skincare soap - has been test-marketed in two markets of Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. In both markets, the new product has led to incremental sales of the original Dettol soap." The Dettol Skincare soap has been priced at Rs 15 for a 75-g pack, the same as the existing Dettol original soap. According to a company communiqué, Dettol soap has a market share of 11.7 per cent in the premium soap segment. The brand was launched in the early 1980s.
