SASI Advertising, a Chennai-based ad agency, has launched an academy for advertising training and education — Sasi Academy for Advertising Research and Communication.

The institution, in Coimbatore, will seek to impart training in marketing, advertising, sales, new media communication, public relations and event management, said a press release.

It has tied up with advertising agencies and corporates for placements, said the release.

It has also quoted the Managing Director of the agency and of the institute, Mr R. Swaminathan, as saying that the academy will "serve as a futuristic platform that encourages innovation and updates the knowledge base and industry orientation of working professionals."
